Welcome to The Spark File—we’ve made something for you!
The backstory: we have been professional creatives and collaborators for 20+ years. While we were proud of our successful careers, we longed for even more personal self expression, consistent creativity, and a supportive community where creativity could thrive.
So we created THE SPARK FILE PODCAST to share inspiration and foster curiosity.
And then we built THE SPARK FILE WORKSHOPS and COACHING COMMUNITY—made to support and celebrate others as they identify and realize their creative vision.
Essentially, we created the programs we wished existed!
We crafted the framework we believed would be transformative for ourselves and our fellow creatives.
And we’re proud to say, IT'S TOTALLY MAKING A DIFFERENCE in the lives of our clients.

Susan Blackwell (she/her)
Susan’s work as a creativity coach is informed by her life as a Broadway, film + TV actor, + a writer. She created + played characters based on herself in the original Broadway musical [title of show], + the off-Broadway musical NOW. HERE. THIS. She hosted the chat show ‘Side by Side by Susan Blackwell’ on Broadway.com for 11 years. She is a proud co-host of The Spark File podcast. Areas of specialty include acting, writing, interviewing + communication.
Laura Camien (she/her)
Laura’s work as a creativity coach has been shaped by her work as a Broadway producer ([title of show]), playwright + screenwriter. She was a long time VP of Communications for Blue Man Group, + Creative Director + Head Writer for Blue Man Group’s book, Blue Man World. She is a proud co-host of The Spark File podcast. Areas of specialty include producing, public speaking, media training, writing + communication.
